The Gacek Harvester is designed to harvest cherries, plums, apples, nuts, olives, and other stone fruits. Fruits are shaken from the tree using a trunk clamp powered by a hydraulic servo motor. A reverse umbrella surrounds the tree trunk to collect fruit as it falls and a conveyor lifts the fallen fruit up onto the machine’s platform, where it can be easily boxed or crated. The Gacek Harvester is pulled by a tractor and powered by the tractor’s external hydraulics. Under optimal conditions the Gacek Harvester can harvest 50-60 trees per hour.
